Just looked at the website, it is looking good. Have attached pic of stiggs receiving his award from Radiowave thought you could put under the awards section to show the good work you do and how the children as individuals have blossomed under your influence.   Stephen was a shy little thing in the beginning and I thank you and the volunteers for his growth as a single parent at the time working full time you have been his stand in mum and for that I will always be grateful to you.   Who would have thought 24 years ago when we met by chance on the maternity unit (when i was on my first baby) that you would have such an impact on my last child.   (Our very own Billy Elliot)
Once again thankyou

Dear Richard

I am writing to you to thank you and your team for your continuing support of the Positive Activities for Young People programme on Grange Park. Your willingness and ability to provide the 'Cherwell Centre' to us for the summer holidays at such short notice proved invaluable in the delivery of this scheme. As a result of this we were able to offer the young people of Grange Park positive educational opportunities five days a week during the summer period.

I would also like to take this opportunity to pass my thanks on to the 'Grange Park Residents Association' , who were extremely flexible and munificent in supporting the move into the centre.

Together you both made what was a potentially difficuly problem much easier to deal with.

Kind Regards

I would like to thank Maureen Horn and all her volunteer's for what they do for the Community, they have opened up the Cherwell Centre for a youth club which all three of my children attend three nights a week. They have all given up there spare time so children on the estate have somewhere to go. All the children are surpervised inside and out and also one or two P.C.S.O's turn up to make sure all the children are following the rules. I hope the youth club continues for many years to come because there is'nt another youth club on the estate. Keep up the good work, you have my full support in the running of the youthclub.

Yours thankfully

Dear Maureen,
Thank you for inviting me and my wife on the Haven Holiday to help out with the children.   I must say that everything ran smoothly with your knowledge of these organisations.   Thanks to you the children and myself, we had a brilliant time.   Keep up the hard work.

Yours sincerely,

Maureen

I would like to thank you for giving the children a fantastic holiday.

You did a great job of incorporating learning into the fun activities, which also enhanced their social skills.

I am sure the children will be talking about ‘Haven’ for a long time.   This in turn encourages other children on the estate to get involved.

Long may the Grange Park Junior Residents Association run, as it is proving to be very successful and very needed.

The website is also a very good tool for the children and residents of Grange Park.

Well done and Thank you.

Dear Maureen

Please accept (our/my ) apology for not getting in touch with you before now. Maureen, we have so much to thank you for, we cannot thank you enough for helping my husband and myself, getting the above address. Thank you so much, we are just about settling and getting the flat sorted. We did not answer to your wedding invite which you kindly sent to us, at the time some of the family offered to come to Blackpool (from Lancaster) to help sort the flat, so we were glad of extra helping hands with being two O.A.P's. I hope you please understand the position we were in at the time. After the time we were thinking you thought we had forgotten you, but please Maureen, we feel so thankfull for the things you did for us to get this flat. It is such a quiet area, I am glad to tell you we are settling down well. You are a lovely person and as I say we cannot thank you enough, also a little late we wish you to be very happy in your new married life. Good luck and lots of love to you and your husband.

God bless you both.

Dear Maureen Horn,

I would like to sincerely thank you for the arranging and organising of the holiday for the Grange Park children.   I would also like to thank you for inviting myself and my husband to come along and help out.   Even though it was quite hectic at times we had a fantastic time.   The children were well behaved and enjoyed the holiday so much that they are all still talking about it.   The holiday ran very smooth with your good management.   All of the parents, especially your daughter Debbie, were a great help.
Maureen you’ve done so well with not just the holiday but with all the other work you do with and for the Grange park children.   They look up to you and are a credit to you.
You have given so much of your time to help these children, we need someone like you.   Your very committed and should be ever so proud of yourself.   Well done and keep up the good work.

Yours sincerely

To Whom It May Concern:

I wish to express my heartfelt thanks to Maureen Horne and everyone who was involved in organising and executing the trip for the Grange Park kids to Flookbourgh.   My two children, aged 10 and 8 went on the trip.   They thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the holiday and made and bonded with some fantastic children.   They have some new friends that they met there and otherwise wouldn’t have met.   One of the couples involved organised a party for all the children who went, at their own home last Friday.   This was a great event for the kids.   Thank you all very much for your dedication and hard work you put in for the kids of Grange Park.

Yours Sincerely

To Whom It May Concern

Recently, our son has been on holiday with a group of youngsters from Grange Park, organised by Maureen Horn.   The confidence that he gained whilst being away and since returning, has been unbelievable.

We booked a holiday to the same site, for a few days, to coincide with their holiday.   On our first night in the entertainment complex, we were amazed by the behaviour of the group.   They joined in everything from bingo to dancing and had a fantastic report going with the entertainment staff.   They were from Blackpool and everyone knew it!!   (The adults that were there will know what I mean by that).   They stayed together as a group and looked out for each other.   They were a pleasure to be associated with.

The adults there were there to supervise, and they worked hard that week.   They had given up their time for free, asked for nothing in return, and we didn’t envy them one bit! Each and every one of them deserves a medal for the job that they did and the holiday that they gave those kids.

We know how hard and stressful it was for Maureen to raise the funds to make her vision of a free holiday for the kids to materialise along with the help of Paul from PAYP, who also does great work with the kids.   Without Maureen, Paul and everyone else who gave up their time and also the sponsors, it would not have been possible.   We are eternally grateful to them all for the ‘awesome holiday’ as our son calls it.

All the kids are now great friends and it is so nice to see them, some of whom only met each other on the holiday, getting on so well and are all now taking part in the activities provided by PAYP.

In fact, Ricky and Chris Nelson, who helped supervise on the holiday,   have given a party for them at their home, so that they could all get together and have some fun.   This they have done out of their own pocket!

We have lived on Grange Park for most of our lives, and haven’t seen much community spirit since we were youngsters.   This is how it used to be, and with heartfelt thanks to Maureen, hopefully it will continue.

Yours truly,

Paul & Joanne Hartenfeld
